Between late 2017 and now, I’ve been working in sketchbooks, partly because I have limited time due to my responsibilities as a carer for my wife, and partly because I want to create a continuous work that spans the passing seasons. These sketchbooks—to which I’ve given the title, Night & Day—portray many forms of change, of growth, decay, and renewal. They concentrate on nature, be it animals or plants, seen in close-up and panorama, at night or during the day, on land or in the ocean.
